Lake Swan

The water was cold. So cold. Kids don't really care that much. They has a great time tubing and splashing. Someone brought Peace out to the floating dock then left her there. Had to send someone in to get her. Luckily she realizes her swimming skill is not that great yet.
Ah messy games. They had to drink a soda a fast as they could. Then put their hands in oatmeal to find letters. Next shoot potato guns. Then they had to run with goop to fill up a bucket. We did mentos and 7up. They made themselves into ice cream sundaes. Finally they ran to the lake to pour buckets of water all over them selves and their friends.

We love our new church home and all the people in it. We have been richly blessed because of their commitment to the Lord.

Double Digit Midget

Moonbeam turned ten this week. For her birthday we went bowling. Most of her presents were given to her early since her dad knew he would be at work. She also spent the weekend with friends while we were on a retreat. Now the real fun begins

Geography Fair

The geography fair happened many moons ago. All the kids did a great job sharing what they learned about the country they picked. We had a ton of fun. Hope someone organizes one next year. Moonbeam did Honduras and Peace did Iraq.

New kid on the block

God has blessed us this year. Here is our very first kid. Perfect in every way. She looks exactly like her mother. She is so small you would think she was helpless. But on day 2 she is all ready leaping and running and having just a great time. She got close enough to me today to sniff me. Hopefully by the end of the week we will have a bond.
I not sure you can read how small she is. Only 12 inches high. Full grown she will be as tall as a medium sized dog.
Thanks for stopping by.

Quick Blurb

Moonbeam was in a fashion show this week wearing the skirt she made in 4H. She tied for 2ND place with a score of 96.

The garden has been planted.

One of our new dogs tried to eat poor Sampson. Just a small puncture wound. Moonbeam saved the day.

Not Delilah has gotten her utter. Few more days we will have a new kid.
Not Delilah is named so because she looks just like Delilah except with horns.

Chicks

11 chicks were born on the farm while the family was here. They named three of them Cuddles, Puddles and Superman( or Batman). One got the name Bravey Jones. She is the first to try everything. I call them all girls just hoping that is what they are.

We ordered chicks a few weeks before these beauties came along so this weekend I am picking up more. Soon we will be up to our eyeballs in roast chicken and egg salad.
