Dorothy Oven Park
This is what you have to wear when you think Mor Mor is infectious, even though you are currently staying in her house while she is in the hospital. Turned out to be a cold.

Our Hardknock Life

Sometimes life throws you curve balls you never expected.
While on his way to work one morning my husband hit a deer.
Some body work is needed for the car to be drivable.
We can't afford it.
My van would cost $60 dollars a day to drive back and forth.
So Unforunately I am I stuck living like this four days a week

\Sunrise over the motel
Our room is one of the top two in the middle

All day spent smiling and laughing in the Florida sunshine
The view from the room where I get 20 minutes of free time while daddy and the girls play in the pool

It is a rough life but someone got to live it.

Mor Mor's birthday

Tomatoes were the theme. Tempera paint was the game. Nothing more fun then turning your hurricane supplies into party supplies.
Moonbeam made the tuna salad. Peace made the cake. I love being able to give the girls a recipe and everything turns out the way it is supposed to.

Hit and Miss

Thought she was doing FLVS

We are trying to be Semi-Veg. So far I has been let's say interesting. I will take you through our Spaghetti meals...

Spaghetti with meat substitute...Fail
Spaghetti with just sauce............Fail
Spaghetti with eggplant..............Fail
Spaghetti noodles out of raw zucchini....Fail

We did have one success which was Zucchini Parmesan over regular noodles. Slight ray of sunshine on the vegetarian trail.

Do you have any meatless meals that your whole family eat?

Beach

We made it to the beach for the first time this season. Whoo hoo!!!!

Do I have any proof ? No, you would have to know where your camera is to take pictures.

The best part of the trip was the kite. As I walked past a trash can I noticed a kite sitting on the top. I pulled it out, examined it and let the girls fly it. The wind was perfect for kite flying.
Moonbeam decided to find out what would happen if she let the string all the way out. Then let it go. The kite had a awesome adventure until it crashed into the ground. Had I've paid for the kite I would of been mad she let it go but since it was free I had a fun time watching it free fly through the sky. We cleaned up the string and threw it back away.
A good time was had by all.

touching everything

Today we went to Toys R Us and Michael's Crafts. No intention of buying anything. I let the girls touch every "try me" in the store. Any thing they felt like looking at I let them as long as they put it back exactly like they found it. It was pretty awesome.
Side note: Don't try to order a milkshake at Arby's by 75 in Valdosta if they have a bus in the lot. The machine will be "broken." Just like the last two times I tried while they had a bus.

The Hole

The girls dug a hole. Why? No one knows but them.
It was deeper but they thought filling it up with water would be fun. It wasn't. So they had to fill it in with dirt to dry the water.
After stopping to measure Peace, it turns out the hole was originally 42" deep. Kids do some interesting stuff when no one is looking.

From twenty one inches

I love my daughter's long flowing locks. The bible even states "but that if a woman has long hair,it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering." But there is nothing glorious about an unbrushed mop of hair. There is nothing glorious about the fights and crying about having to brush the knots out.

There is glory in giving your hair to charity. There is glory in the new peace leaving the house now has.
I love her new hairstyle and so does she.

PJ fashion

Cruising the Waterways! 2010 4h fashion show!

She made the pajama pants. They are black with neon cats. The raw fabric was more money then I usually spend on a ready made pair of pajamas.
She is in the local paper hugging the pillow she also made. She got a first place ribbon in her division for the pants. I am so proud of her.

You can compare the size difference.

Can't tell the difference once in the pan.

Delicious breakfast for two hungry little girls
